In recent years, the prevalence of self-focused attention and social anxiety among college students has become an increasingly important research topic. Self-focused attention refers to the tendency to pay excessive attention to one’s own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Social anxiety is a fear of being judged or evaluated negatively by others in social situations. Studies have shown that self-focused attention can lead to increased levels of social anxiety in college students. This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-focused attention and social anxiety among college students, as well as explore potential moderators that may influence this relationship.
